PA Staff Alum Caucus

It's me Sheila BD from San Jose.

Last night some truly old skool PAers got together in Chi-town!
I was in town with the BlogHer conference (I know I am such a geek) and gave Leif and Beth Ann a call and we met for a few beverages.
It was like old times and it has amped us up for the upcoming ataff alum gathering.

After Beth Ann and I ignored Leif's idea of going camping, we came up with a few thoughts:
* What do we call this? A meeting, a gathering, a retreat, an unconference? We like Caucus! When do you ever get to use that word anyway. My personal suggestion - we call it the EX-TRA-VA-GANZA!
* Where do we have it? We think it should be somewhere where no one has to play host - that is no city with a PA site, or where someone lives. It should also be easy to get to by plane or car. (Bummer, that rules out Hawaii) It should be central.

Our brilliant suggestion: Memphis! Yeah Memphis - "One of America's friendliest cities..." according to USA Today.
The home of Graceland and the "Museum of Rock and Soul" - who knew that?

Great music, should be cheap and we've never been there.
What do you all think???

Who is in charge of this? - I volunteer to help plan the party aspect of this....

Okay that is all from us for now, can't wait to hear what you all think!

okay - one more thought - we could also go with Nashville - which is a hib for southwest airlines among others...

I'm always up for Las Vegas. I know it's not "family friendly", but we'd sure have a great time there. :)

I LOVE Vegas - Kids, huh? I have a ton of relatives there. We can arrange child care if needed for folks!
